FTP is File Transfer Protocol. This allows you to use an FTP client to connect to your server. You would then upload the files you wish to upload to the proper folders (directories). This means you can upload basic HTML pages, or a CMS like Joomla, or WordPress. You can also upload other files like .vcf files, or even .pdf files. The only limit is your storage capacity that you would have.
